I
was raised in the bay area of California.
At the age of 17 I moved to Denton, Texas where I began my apprenticeship for a
boot and shoe repair store. At age 19 I became the store manager and main
repairman of "Elf Shoe Repair" and also begun my apprenticeship as a boot and
shoe maker. Throughout this time I realized that I had a knack for sewing and I
was able to express my artistic abilities through this type of medium.
Continuing to work in the shoe repair industry life took me to the North where
I was given an entirely new method of sewing and leather crafting techniques.
I first worked at a saddle shop where I spent my time repairing saddles and
making custom chaps for a short time. Then I had yet another opportunity to learn
a new craft and started working in the custom upholstery Industry. This once again
allowed me to learn a countless number of new techniques. I was doing custom
interior and exterior work on yachts, sailboats and classic cars and I gained
experience that guided me to new avenues which I never realized I was capable.
So I took what I had learned in both industries and started crafting small leather
products such as belts, bags, jewelry and leather ware. Currently at age 31 I've
returned to find a home in the Houston Texas area. Now I have opened my own
shop, and I am producing custom motorcycle seats, leather outfits, and a wide
variety of custom accessories. Specializing in custom items allows me to keep
my creative juices flowing. Located in Kingwood, Texas I hope to bring a creative
edge and level of quality that has been long awaited.
